UPDATE: Webbers Falls Under Mandatory Evacuation

The entire town of Webbers Falls in Muskogee County is now under mandatory evacuation. Police and fire are going door to door, instructing residents to leave.

Police and firefighters are telling residents to write their name on their arm if they plan to stay.

The City says the flooding is going to be worse than anticipated.

Shelters are now being set up in several locations for people who have to leave the area.

Just across the river in Gore, a nursing home evacuated, filling several buses heading to a safe place in Vian.

The Muskogee County Emergency Management said the event is being treated like a 500-year flood.

"They need to be vigilant. They need to take precaution," said Mayor Sand Wright.
